Below is the article that appeared in the Rockland Journal News on April 6, 2001 about the massive protest of Nyack's High School students.  We apologize for the poor scan quality but this article was not available via any on line links.

And by the way...

   The students didn't "join" this protest, they led it; there were, at most, a dozen adults and, at least, 200 students; and this "asset" the district so admires has been put on probation rather than given tenure. Other than that, this is fairly accurate.
